The Woodbridge Sanitary District (WSD) was formed on 05/11/1949 as an independent special district under the County Sanitation Act (Health & Safety Code 4700). WSD is governed by 5 Board of Directors that are elected to a 4 year term. WSD currently employs 5 part-time employees including a General Manager/ Chief Plant Operator, Secretary, and plant operators/ maintenance workers.
WSD is located within the Woodbridge Community of San Joaquin County, North West of the City of Lodi, and South of the Mokelumne River. WSD operates a sewage treatment plant consisting of a percolation/ evaporation pond system that collects and treats the wastewater from the community of Woodbridge. WSD's area of service consists of approx. 188 acres and serves approximately 4,000 people.
